Sak-Tunich, climbing the massive radio tower!

Sak-Tunich, climbing the massive radio tower!

As we approached this massive tower I thought to myself “oh shit are we really going to climb this..” and I began walking up the stairs, apprehensive about how sketchy this structure could have been built, but also knowing I would regret not climbing it. At the top you could feel the wobble. It was worth it as it was one of the best views and highest up I have ever been in Belize.

Riding my Motorcycle to Monkey Falls in Cristo Rey Belize

Riding my Motorcycle to Monkey Falls in Cristo Rey Belize

Cristo Rey is as beautiful as always, water crystal clear, villagers all out loving life, and clean fresh air. Happy to enjoy a fresh swim. Yesterday I rebuilt and cleaned my motorcycle carburetor, so I was ready for an off-road adventure testing all three jets. I was having a problem with either the pilot or starter jet. Cleaned them out, nice combustion in the lower RPM ranges now.

Christmas Time in Belize

Christmas Time in Belize

Happy Covid Christmas. Best of luck to Santa on his upcoming travels in a few weeks, let’s hope he wears a mask and social distances so he doesn’t get the COVID-19 and die because then no one will get presents. Make sure to be happy and decorate your house. See friends. Eat big.

Exploring Pacbitun Farm in San Antonio

Exploring Pacbitun Farm in San Antonio

While trying to find the Pacbitun Mayan ruins we accidentally rode onto the Pacbitun Farm instead. Currently there are no markings for the ruins and Google Maps and MAPS.ME show the farm. We were greeted by a wonderful lady who offered to show us around. She had lots of amazing flowers and trees. She then explained how to get into the ruins, which were behind us two roads. Driving to 1000 Foot Falls in Mountain Pine Ridge

Driving to 1000 Foot Falls in Mountain Pine Ridge

I finally had the chance to adventure to 1000 Foot Falls which is the tallest waterfall in Central America with an actual elevation of 1600 feet. The river descends over the cliff into a natural wonderland and it would be so cool if possible to get to the top to see the view down. I was told you are allowed to camp out here and the person who lives here is the security guard for the Forestry Department.

Camping at Baldy Beacon Military Barracks in Mountain Pine Ridge

Camping at Baldy Beacon Military Barracks in Mountain Pine Ridge

When entering Mountain Pine Ridge my original plan was to sleep at 1000 Foot Falls but as I got there nice and early I decided to continue on exploring further eastward as I never been to this side of the reserve before. It was getting late and I needed to setup camp soon. It was my amazing discovery to come across the Baldy Beacon Military Complex. This was abandoned and was the perfect place to sleep. The concrete walls blocked…
