Sak-Tunich, climbing the massive radio tower!

Sak-Tunich, climbing the massive radio tower!

As we approached this massive tower I thought to myself “oh shit are we really going to climb this..” and I began walking up the stairs, apprehensive about how sketchy this structure could have been built, but also knowing I would regret not climbing it. At the top you could feel the wobble. It was worth it as it was one of the best views and highest up I have ever been in Belize.

Party in the Jungle. Underground Cookout. Turkey and Vegetables Slowly Cooked.

Somewhere deep in the Belize jungle, off-grid with only solar panels, a paradise I created, we all gathered. The earth oven cookout was a wonderful success. A blazing hot fire kept us all warm against the cooling temperature of the jungle. The barrel is 35 inches tall and I would say we filled at least 25 inches with charcoal and stones. It was hot! I shoveled out half of it and made a layer of sand to create a safe…

Working as a Software Developer in the Remote Jungle using Solar Panels and 4G LTE

The happiest I have ever been in my life has been living in the middle of the jungle. All you really need in life are a couple of solar panels and a 4G LTE data plan. I am currently studying the Angular Framework and .NET Core WebAPI. As robots replace most jobs, the people who program them and manage their servers will always be in demand. Everyone should be learning new skills now. I realize it may be hard to…

Got my Second Dog. Creating a Pack of Guard Dogs for my Farm.

Got my Second Dog. Creating a Pack of Guard Dogs for my Farm.

Meet the second member of my pack, White Foot. This was my friend’s guard dog that is a one year old female and used to be part of a seven dog pack. She will run up and attack anyone unknown who walks into her territory. Excellent behavior and I am hoping she can influence the first member of my pack who is a stray from the streets. Last night she would not sleep inside and wanted to stay outside on…

Adopting a Stray Dog in Belize. This is my Very First Dog I ever Had! :)

Adopting a Stray Dog in Belize. This is my Very First Dog I ever Had! :)

I went walking around with a collar and leash looking for a stray dog to become the first member of my jungle guardians pack. This is the first member and I have named him Goliath. I found him as a stray on the streets in San Ignacio. He was well built and with a short snout good for biting. He let me put a collar on him and followed me. I have taken him and will train him as a…

Christmas Time in Belize

Christmas Time in Belize

Happy Covid Christmas. Best of luck to Santa on his upcoming travels in a few weeks, let’s hope he wears a mask and social distances so he doesn’t get the COVID-19 and die because then no one will get presents. Make sure to be happy and decorate your house. See friends. Eat big.

Happy Halloween in Belize. Carving a Belizean Pumpkin!

Happy Halloween in Belize. Carving a Belizean Pumpkin!

I am super excited I got to carve a Belizean pumpkin and share this experience with some people who have never carved one before. As usual my costume must be ridiculous and controversial so I decided on being a Mennonite drug dealer that helps facilitate the landings of the drug planes. Like all holidays, Halloween is a wonderful time to get together with friends and family to enjoy life and do something fun. Be happy and love life!
